"It's today!"    


Laura and Dan both worked at a nursing home.

As a receptionist, Laura answered the phone.

As the Housekeeping Director, Dan kept it all clean        

Every day at work, each other they'd seen.

She took his number and gave him a call  

Deep in love, the two soon would fall.                        

They started to date, the stars began to align.

So they made is official September 27, 2009.
                          

After a short time, they knew it was true,

and soon came the words, "I love you!".

Their love grew and grew, and then after a while,

Laura would ask when they'd walk down the aisle?

Dan would tease and say, "Not today".                  

Then in 2013, on Valentine's Day
getting ready for dinner, a plan in his head

Dan said, "How about you wear this instead?"
           

The ring in his hand with something to say                                   

down on his knee he said, "It's today!"
