This is a very special time and definitely worth celebrating.  Just think back on the last 12 months as a time of incredible growth and development. In just one year, a baby has transformed from a completely helpless newborn into an independent little person.

In just 12 months, their weight has most likely tripled.  They went from only nursing mother’s milk or drinking from a bottle to eating solid foods and maybe even feeding themselves a bit.  Crawling, standing and possibly even walking are all things they’re becoming very anxious to do.  And getting into everything goes with the territory ;-)  It’s a game changer for sure!

I love planning and making a big fuss over a 1 year session. They are so curious and excited at just about anything you put in front of them.   That’s why I love incorporating a smash cake as well!  Sweet Pea Sinsations over in Twinsburg makes the most divine cakes.  They are beautiful and heavenly good!  

This session was particularly special because I photographed this little girl’s newborn session as well.  I can’t believe how much she’s grown and how fast this year flew by. 

Happy Birthday, little angel!  You are a breath of fresh air!
